Back Again!

This blog started as something totally different than what it will be now. I will still update on Brayden of course, because he is truly amazing! He is three and a half now! and the light of my life!
The rest of the time I will be sharing my outlook on life, what I'm up to, what my family is up to maybe. We'll see. I have my craft blog, but this needs to be separate. Sometimes you just feel the need to write, ya know. I'll be back soon ;)

It's been so long

Wow! So much has changed since I updated! I had planned on updating more regularly, and I will try harder. School was a challenge this semester, for all of us!

Brayden is growing up so fast! He's such a happy guy, unless he's hungry. The boy can eat! He's eating cereal and baby food now. What a mess that is.

He went on his first spring break trip! We have pictures!
His first flight! Here is his favorite flight attendant, Chastity. She loved him! He was pretty good. On our trip back we even got complimented by the poor guy sitting next to us on how good he was. He had about 5 minutes of crankiness each way. Not bad!

His first time in a pool! He wasn't sure at first. By the time we left he was smiling in the pool.

His first time in the ocean! He wasn't sure about this either. He was more sure about the nap he took at the beach.

His first amusement park ride! It was a tiny little merry go round. It was so cute! We went to Busch Gardens and he was a little trooper. It was pretty hot.

It was an awesome trip! Here are some more adorable pix of Brayden!

I promise I will try to keep up better!

Brayden is Awesome!

Brayden was 5 weeks old yesterday and he's doing great. He weighed 9lbs. 6 oz. and he was 22" long. He's growing like crazy. He's smiling more every day. He is still such a good baby. No that there are bad babies, he's just so content. He sleeps through the night quite a bit. I know that he's young for that, but he does it.

He's outgrowing all of his cute newborn outfits. His little chicken legs are filling out too. They were so skinny for a while.

He had a great Christmas too. Everyone loved to see him when we went back to Saginaw. He had the CUTEST outfit on that his Gramma Sharon got for him and the shoes I got for him. Here he is wearing it with his Mommy.

He got this crazy pacifier from his crazy Aunt Cathy! He also got a onesie from her that said, "Don't you wish your mommy was hot like mine?" Aunt Cathy got that too. His Uncle Kyle got him a Guns 'n Roses onesie because his Uncle Jimmy got him a Guns 'n Roses t-shirt for him when he was a baby. It was a great Christmas with lots of family and lots of laughing.

Brayden is on formula now. Kaitlyn did great with feeding him, but it got to be too much. It was time to move on to bottles. He did well switching over. He hardly ever spits up at all.

Kaitlyn is so lucky, and so are we that we get to be with him all of the time. Going to work is harder than it used to be because I hate to leave him. That's why I don't get it that his Dad can not see him hardly at all. He hasn't called to even check up on him for a couple of weeks. I don't know what his deal is. Kaitlyn is done dealing with him though. She's tired of all of the BS and she's just going to be a great Mommy. It's Cinco's loss. He'll look back some day and realize how stupid he was, or maybe he never will. Who knows. No matter what happens, we'll always be there for them both.

Here's Grampa Doug with Brayden on Christmas. He needs his picture on here too. He loves being a Grampa!

So Proud

I can't even say enough how proud I am of my baby girl, Kaitlyn. She has had an infection with high fevers and chills and has not missed one feeding with Brayden. She is so strong. He went to the Dr. the other day and he has gained all of his weight back that he lost (8 oz.), and that was in 3 days at home. The Dr. was surprised since he is being breastfed. This is all while she was sick. She's feeling much better now, although not 100%. She's young and single, but I could not imagine anyone being a better mother than her to this lucky little boy. And yes, I have told her every day how proud I am of her. I also told her that I would have given up on the breastfeeding way before now. It has not been easy and she has cried a few times. Anyone who has done it can understand. He is the best baby for her too. He is very content. I know he knows how loved he is.

His Daddy has been here a couple of times, although for very short visits. Kaitlyn will set him straight on that. She wants him to know who his Daddy is. That's very important to her. Even though they will never be together she wants a good relationship for Brayden's sake. She wants him to know his Daddy's voice.

His Gramma has been here too. She is so over the moon for him too. She's a good Gramma. His Uncle Cipriano has been here too, longer than his Daddy.

She's so young in some ways, but so old in other ways. I always thought Kaitlyn was on old soul. She's obviously made some bad decisions, but inside there is this woman that sees things others her age don't. Heck, she sees things some full fledged adults don't see. She knows what she wants. She always has, and she's determined to get it. I am so proud of her!

Baby Brayden Javier Kwaiser

Wow! What a crazy few days this has been! We are all home now. It's hard to believe he's here. He's beautiful. He's keeping Kaitlyn busy. After a rocky start to the feeding he realized how it goes at about 2:00 Monday morning. He has to be the biggest eater I have ever seen. He eats forever, then wants another go at it less than 2 hours later. We'll see what his first night at home has in store for her.

Brayden's eyes are getting so dark. He was pretty pale when he was born, but his skin is getting a little darker too. He gets better every day. He is a good natured baby. He doesn't cry much.

Kaitlyn isn't feeling very well right now. Her temp keeps going up. I think we'll be calling the Dr. tomorrow.

Baby Brayden is Here! So Blessed!

Brayden Javier Kwaiser arrived on his due date, December 8, 2007 at 7:03 pm. He weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces, 20 1/2 inches long. And he is Gorgeous! It was a tough labor, but I couldn't be more proud of my own baby girl, Katie. She did what had to be done, no matter how much pain she was in. She tore pretty bad and has LOTS of swelling, but she pushed through.

As for Brayden, he is the perfect baby! He is so content. he hardly cries at all. He went through a lot too. His eyes were a little puffyand red. He looks a lot like his daddy. He has his nose and mouth. He has the Kwaiser family's feet. They're pretty big, and his legs and arms are long. He has Katie's long fingers. He is soooooooooooooo sweet! I haven't been home to upload pictures, but this one is from Katie's phone.

Here is one from the hospital's camera.

Happy Mommy, happy baby!
